Its a very local topic, so I've just been booking things near home. Its fun, and the ones I've done have been well received, but almost everyone I talk to says they just don't have the money. I've done a couple of them just for the sales (and "exposure") opportunity, but its really not worth it. Typically, I've sold between 10 and 20 books at a school visit. The best opportunity I've had was signing up with our school district's after school program. They got a grant last year that pays for enrichment classes. I did 6 groups last spring, and the grant purchased every kid a book.

Since this is my first book, and its self-published, I'm just taking it easy. I'm planning on releasing my second book this spring or summer, then I'll hit harder with the school market.Linda Knollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17723742722157080515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1952503796128943667.post-13766505370508662562012-01-18T14:50:24.667-08:002012-01-18T14:50:24.667-08:00I am interested in knowing how you are doing with ...I am interested in knowing how you are doing with sales and responses to your workshop?
Perhaps it is the subject but I don't see the respone I would like to see on mine. www.earthquake=book.comThe Pen and Ink Blogspothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01709195512534318571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1952503796128943667.post-87730302245557906862012-01-18T05:52:36.902-08:002012-01-18T05:52:36.902-08:00This looks like a book my nieces and nephews would...This looks like a book my nieces and nephews would like to see.Russ Coxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10842342327694423452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1952503796128943667.post-75943753360489668442012-01-16T04:49:42.816-08:002012-01-16T04:49:42.816-08:00I found you on the comment challenge.
